GOD'S PEOPLE

word for the week

by Sr. Pastor, Bishop Oral Walters
In these times, our church is open, but our building is limited in physical attendance due to social distancing.  However, we are more than just a building, we are a family living by faith. That means that we are going to continue streaming our services online at all of our normal service times.

We believe that actively serving not only brings us closer to God, but reminds us to love others like he does. Through serving at LWCCIM, you’ll use the unique ways that God has gifted you to help create welcoming environments where he can change lives.

CHRONICLES OF LIFE

A new encouragement corner by Executive Pastor, Sandra Walters

Biblical encouragement isn’t focused on complementing someone’s haircut or telling them how good their homemade salsa tastes. That kind of encouragement is important, but the encouragement the Scriptures refer to is explicitly Christian encouragement.  Encouragement is shared with the hopes that it will lift someone’s heart toward the Lord (Col. 4:8).  It is important to share scripture-saturated words with each other to spur one another on in faith (Acts 14:22), hope (Rom. 15:4), unity (Rom. 15:5; Col. 2:2), joy (Acts 15:31), strength (Acts 15:32), fruitfulness (Heb. 10:24-25), faithfulness (1 Thess. 2:12), perseverance (Heb. 10:25), and the certainty of Christ’s return (1 Thess. 4:18).
Executive Pastor Sandra Walters also provides a Faith Food Library dedicated to helping all members and visitors create richer and more satisfying lives with the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Listen to previously recorded messages online at your convenience 24/7. We offer eBooks, music, MP3s, MP4s, home decor and a vast array of gift items.

NEXT STEP

No matter where we are on our faith journey, we all have next steps—intentional choices and commitments we make to strengthen and grow our relationship with Jesus. Colossians 2:6-7 tells us that after accepting Christ, our next step is to continue to grow in Him. If you’re looking for your next step, but aren’t sure of where to start, at LWCCIM, we have created environments for you and your family check what are our ministries about.
